Eye Screening and Vision Awareness Programme

As a part of the world eyesight day eye screening and vision awareness programme was organised in the campus on 12th October 2023at 10:30 AM in the ITI Hall with the assistance of Vasan eyecare team. Dr. Bharathi, centre head Vasan eye care hospital was invited as the chief guest of the program. The main objective of the program was to identify the vision related issues and to educate the community about significance of the eye health and regular check-up. Chief guest Dr. Bharathi in her speech explained eye safety measures, eye donation and harmful dangers of self-treatment and self-medication. The Vasan Eyecare team conducted eye screenings for both staff and students. Participants with identified eyesight problems were advised to consult the hospital and everyone received free consultation coupons to encourage the active follow-up. The management, staff and students extended their heartfelt thanks to the Vasan Eyecare team for their generosity and selfless service towards the community.

The Eye Screening and Vision Awareness Program on World Eyesight Day achieved its objectives by identifying potential vision issues and by educating the campus community about importance of eye health.
