Fire and safety awareness program

Loyola ITI, in collaboration with Hulimavu Fire Station, organized a fire and safety awareness program for staff and students on 19th September 2024 at the Loyola ITI campus. The session was conducted by Mr. Mahanthgoud S. Kurukalli, Fire Station Officer, and his team. The goal of the program was to teach practical skills for fire prevention and firefighting. The session covered the key topics fire triangle, types of fire, how to use fire extinguishers, fire prevention tips for home and work, and how to stop fires from spreading. A live demonstration was showed on how to use foam, powder, and carbon dioxide extinguishers for different fire hazards. The session ended with a vote of thanks from Fr. Denzil Lobo, SJ, thanking the Hulimavu Fire Station team for their support.
