Health Awareness Programme
The health awareness program took place on 25th January 2024 at Loyola ITI in
collaboration with Vidya. Dr. Roopa Bernardiner, a consultant in capacity building, led the
session as the resource person. The program primarily focused on WASH (Water,
Sanitation, Hygiene), covering topics such as water conservation, sanitation, solid waste
management, and personal hygiene. The chief guest emphasized the importance of
including physical, spiritual, mental, and social well-being. The session included practical
demonstrations on various aspects of waste management, including how to separate dry
and wet waste, hazardous waste, and medical waste. Additionally, the proper handwashing
method was explained to ensure personal hygiene. Fr. Denzil Lobo, the Director of Loyola
ITI, addressed the students, highlighting the significance of paying attention to small details
as they can have significant impacts. He encouraged students to take self-care and care for
others.
