Inauguration Of The Tailoring Course

Loyola ITI, in collaboration with Vidya Foundation, under the guidance of Fr. Denzil Lobo SJ the Director of Loyola ITI and with the coordination of Mrs Mary Veronica (Principal), Mr. John Bosco, (Senior Staff)has initiated a free vocational tailoring course in its campus. The course aims to empower women and provide them with an opportunity to enhance their livelihood by generating additional income for their families. The inaugural program for the course was held on July 11th, 2023, at 11 am.

The event was attended by various dignitaries, including Mrs. Devika Mathur, the centre head of Vidya Centre, Mrs. Charu, Mrs. Rashmitha, Mrs. Rajeshwari, Ms. Sneha, Rev. Fr. Anthony Joseph SJ, the Rector of Mount St. Joseph, Fr. James Gonsalves SJ, Administrator of Dhyanashrama, Director of ITI, Fr. Denzil Lobo SJ,Mrs. Mary Veronika, the Principal of Loyola ITI, as well as the staff and students.

Fr. Denzil Lobo SJ warmly welcomed the gathering, and Fr. James Gonsalves conducted the Prayer and blessed the Centre. During her speech, Chief Guest Mrs. Devika Mathur explained the benefits of the course and highlighted the NSDC certificate that participants would receive upon completion. The first batch of the course saw 30 women taking their first step towards financial independence. The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Mary Veronika, expressing gratitude to all those involved.
