World Environment Day 2026 was celebrated at Loyola ITI campus on 5th June 2026 with great enthusiasm and commitment towards environmental conservation. The programme aimed to create awareness among students and staff about the importance of protecting nature and promoting sustainable living. The event was graced by Mrs. Hema H.N Joint Director of Horticulture, Bio Centre, B.G. Road, Bengaluru, as the Chief Guest. The Guests of Honour were Mr. Sharanabasappa, Junior Health Inspector, Gottigere, and Mr. Nagendra, Pourakarmika Supervisor, Gottigere. The celebration was conducted under the theme “Protect Nature Today for a Better Tomorrow.” Various activities such as a Collage and Drawing Competition, Cleanliness Drive, and a Tree Plantation Programme at the Bio Centre were organized to encourage environmental responsibility among students. During her address, the Chief Guest emphasized the importance of conserving natural resources, planting trees, reducing pollution, and adopting eco-friendly habits in daily life. The programme concluded with an environmental pledge by all participants, reaffirming their commitment to protecting nature and building a sustainable future.
