To raise awareness about the importance of protecting the environment, Loyola ITI celebrated World Environment Day with meaningful and engaging activities. The chief guest, Ms. H. N. Hema, M.Sc. in Horticulture and Joint Director at the Biocentre, addressed the gathering and encouraged students to take personal responsibility for the environment. Her speech inspired everyone with real-life examples of sustainable living. Students from each class planted saplings around the campus to promote greenery. All students and staff took an Eco-Pledge to reduce plastic use, save water, conserve electricity, and keep their surroundings clean. Students also expressed their concern for nature through colourful posters, drawings, and powerful slogans. The celebration helped everyone understand the importance of caring for the planet and encouraged them to take small but meaningful steps towards a greener future.
